Safety & Sensibility

You must sign the liability waiver to join the club.

Mock knives may only be used as a representation, not in a slashing or stabbing mannerism.

Full seal ANSI Z87+ eye protection and adequate face protection that protects your mouth are both mandatory.

Never remove your eye and face protection while in the arena. If you fog up & can’t see, yell for an admin to escort you out.

Don’t climb, throw, or move anything in the arena (excluding game objectives).

If you notice a player without face or eye protection, or a medical emergency, yell “cease fire!”. If you hear a cease fire, make sure you repeat it to other players.

No drugs, alcohol, or intoxicating substances. You must be sober to participate.

Players ten (10) and up are welcome in the club.

Our Instructions

While outside the arena, never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to be destroyed, even if the weapon has no magazine, battery, or is not “loaded”. Even an “unloaded” airsoft gun should be treated as a firearm to ensure 100% safety outside of the arena.

Do not pull the trigger, install a magazine, rack your slide, or load your weapon while in the staging area.

You must “dry fire” your weapon before entering the staging area after participating in an active game.

Blind firing is prohibited. You must have line of sign and/or knowledge of your target’s location. Suppressive fire is allowed.

Don’t converse while dead or play dead to deceive other players.

Don’t shoot players saying “Dead man walking!” and don’t use them as a barricade.

No minimum engagement distance. If you feel that shooting is unnecessary, you may attempt to engage in a parlay or perform a courtesy takedown without shooting by saying “bang bang”. However, players are not required to honor the courtesy takedown unless you use a mock knife.

Unless you are positive it was a ricochet, a BB that hits your clothes, gun, gear, or anything else on your person means you are now a “dead man walking” and you must respawn.

Call your hit out loud, or make a significant effort to show your enemy that you have been hit.

Don’t sprint or run unless you have safety gear like elbow & knee pads.

Don’t call other people’s hits. If you accuse someone of cheating it will almost certainly cause a disturbance of which the blame will equally fall on you. It’s better to tell a referee so we can keep a close eye on them. Cheaters will receive a lifetime banishment at the discretion of the referee.

You may shoot a player a maximum of four times per four seconds. Give your enemy a chance to realize they’ve been hit.

You may be asked to remove equipment that significantly dampens BB impacts such as heavy cloth or armor.

If you and another player shoot each other at the same time (AKA a trade) you are both out unless you can cordially agree on who shot first.

You are welcome to switch teams at any time if you feel it will improve the balance of the game.

There are no gear requirements to play other than eye and face protection, but at least a single layer of fabric is recommended to reduce BB impact pain.

You must respect the administration’s decisions in regards to rules, penalties, etc. Deception, ignorance, bad sportsmanship, aggression, or delaying play can result in a lifetime banishment from the club.

Guns & Energy

Muzzle energy limit: one ( 1 ) joule

Feet Per Second (FPS) limits
.12g BBs: 423 FPS
.20g BBs: 328 FPS
.23g BBs: 305 FPS
.25g BBs: 293 FPS
.28g BBs: 277 FPS
.30g BBs: 267 FPS
.32g BBs: 259 FPS
.36g BBs: 244 FPS
.40g BBs: 231 FPS
.42g BBs: 223 FPS

Your weapons must be evaluated and approved for use by our referees.

Do not lie or attempt to claim ignorance about your BBs. High mass BBs that lower your FPS may actually increase your muzzle energy beyond one joule. This is considered cheating and is strictly forbidden. Referees at American Airsoft Club are trained to use thousandth’s place digital scales and chronographs to test your BBs.

Gas guns like HPA, green gas, etc. may need to be re-evaluated throughout the day due to atmospheric temperature variations. You don’t need a tournament lock for HPA, but if your gas gun exceeds 0.95 joules it will be subject to extensive testing.

No fully automatic fire, brust, or sustained firing faster than 8 BBs per second.

You must carry an airsoft gun every match. Melee only is not allowed.
